During a year food by the ton is required at the Palmerston North Hospital to feed the patients and staff. During the financial year ended March 31 last, 29 tons of bread were used. H tons of butter. 45J tons of meat and fish, 26fc tons of potatoes, 9 tons of sugar, 4J tons of jam, honey and syrup as well as 24,072 gallons of milk.
