RIFLE SHOOTING
DUNEDIN DEFENCE CLUB The Dunedin Defence Rifle Club held its opening day on Saturday, when the members of the Waikouaiti and Outram Clubs were the guests of the Dunedin Club. A combined shoot was held, two teams were picked, and the shoot consisted of one sighter and nine shots to count at 300 yards. D. Kllgour and G. Smith were top scorers, with 4J each. Conditions were fair with just enougn wind to keep the marksmen busy. Ihe next shoot of the Dunedin Club will be on November 16. The results were as follows:—Country; D. Macauley 29. JT. Gillau 34 J.
