LONDON LANDMARK

CRYSTAL PALACE TOWERS IMMEDIATE DEMOLITION (By Radio) DAVENTRY, June 25. A well-known London landmark is to disappear with the demolition of the two towers of the Crystal Palace. This action has been decided on by the trustees so that the huge quantity of iron which they contain may be used for other purposes. The towers were almost the only feature of the palace which survived the great fire of November 30, 1936.
