PATRIOTIC FUNDS

FILM ENTERTAINMENT About £3O was taken last evening for the benefit of the patriotic funds at a film entertainment which was presented at the Dunedin Returned Soldiers’ Association club rooms by Mr C Preen, the Otago Cinephotographic Society, and several platform artists. The Alms shown were all in natural colour and presented a pictorial record of a recent tour made by Mr Preen through England. Scotland Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Belgium, the United States, Honolulu, and Fiji. There were also some scenes taken at the Centennial Exhibition at Wellington. Items were provided by Mr Rees McConachy, violinist: the Dunedin Harmony Four, male quartet; and Messrs W. Ditchfield and F. Campbell, banjo items.
