It is officially stated in Rome that the French plenipotentiaries accepted all the Italian terms and made no counter-proposals. The terms are now being considered by the Bordeaux Government. THE MIDDLE EAST ACTIVITY OF AIR FORCE (By Radio) DAVENTRY, June 25. An Air Force communique from Cairo reports that British bombers yesterday carried out a raid against an enemy encampment on the western Egyptian desert. It took the troops completely by surprise, and there were scenes of great activity as the men rushed for shelter. Enemy fighters took off to meet the British bombers, but showed no particular desire to press home the attack. Other operations were also carried out against an Italian aerodrome with successful results. One of the British machines failed to return. LOYALTY TO ENEMY MARSHAL PETAIN’S PESSIMISM (By Radio) DAVENTRY. June 25. The Times said to-day that Marshal Petain had shown more loyalty towards the enemy than to the Allies ir to his own people. A Foch or a Clemenceau could have rallied France, but Petain had allowed his natural pessimism to sweep over the whole country. ARMISTICE CONDITIONS COMMISSION APPOINTED (By Radio) DAVENTRY, June 25. The Berlin radio announced to-night that Herr Hitler had appointed an' armistice commission to supervise the execution of the terms dictated to France. France has been asked to send representatives to the commission. Reports received in London stated that sections of the French Army were still fighting this morning, more than six hours after the “ cease fire ” order had been given from Bordeaux.
