NONSUIT ACCEPTED
BREACH OF PROMISE ACTION (Per United Press Association) PALMERSTON N„ Oct. 30. The breach of promise action brought in the Supreme Court by Hilma Kathleen Poison against James Lawrence McMillan, of Palmerston North, a building contractor, ended suddenly in the plaintiff electing to take a non suit when Mr Justice Johnston refused to amend the statement of claim to include a promise to marry on the part of McMillan between his decree nisi in the divorce from his first wife and the decree absolute. The claim was for £SOOO. His Honor explained that the plaintiff would have the right to take other proceedings if she so desired.
