NORTH OTAGO WOMEN’S CLUB

At the North Otago Women’s Cluo on Friday last, the president (Mrs J. M. Forrester) held her annual “ at homo ” to committee members, new, and country members, 68 being present. The lounge was bright and gay with spring flowers —prunus, japonica. halibore, hyacinths, and iris On the stage and stands were bowls of prunus, and of polyanthus and cyclamen, and every tea table had its dainty posy bowi of polyanthus and viola. A dainty posy was presented to Mrs Forrester by Mrs Stubbs, with the best wishes of all present During the afternoon a delightful musical programme was presented by Miss Cartwright (pianoforte solos) and Mesdames J Power, G. Munro and McCallum (songs), the accompanists being Miss Cartwright and Mesdames D, E. Neave and Tweed. A play, “She Was No Lady," was produced by Mrs McDowell, those taking part being Mesdames H. B. Burton. R. A. McDowell. E. S. Stubbs and W J. Davies.
