"A TRIP TO HADES"

CHINESE REVUE COMPANY Under the title of "A Trip to Hades," ■ Chinese revue combining music and magic 1 will be presented at His Majesty's Theatre for a season of five nights, commencing on Wednesday. The company was brought to New Zealand by special arrangement with Messrs J. C. Williamson, Ltd. In the revue there are 28 scenes, which brint; the glory of ancient China, and the lighting effects are entirely new to New Zealand. In the large supporting company a number of internationally famous artists appear, notably Poanna Claire, the Broadway dancer who, in addition to her solo presentation, introduces Chang's imported ballet. Walton and Murray direct from the Berlin Wintergarden, present an amazing act. Balancing acrobatic wizards, they invariably drew great applause from audiences. The Cuban Marimba Orchestra presents a novel musical act as well as playing the incidental music for the show, and Ross Buchanan, from the Drury Lane Theatre. London, has a fine baritone voice.. Working in association with them are a numbe* of talented Chinese assistants. Chang's magic is something new—he produces ghosts, not rabbits. Ghosts walk amongst tha audience, and one can actually see through them. Iheatre-oers of all tastes are catered for in this fascinating revue. The bo* clans are now open at the D.I.C.
