COMING OF AGE PARTY

A delightful party was given at the Strand Salon on Saturday evening by Mr and Mrs Arnold Harrington to celebrate the coming of age of Mr Harrington’s sister, Miss Ritchie Harrington. Mrs Harrington, who was gowned in black with gold trimmings, was assisted in receiving the guests by the guest of honour, who looked charming In a dainty frock of lilac chiffon with posies of violets. Dancing and card games were enjoyed, and musical items by Miss Olga Paul (piano-accordion) were much appreciated. During supper Mr Davis proposed the toast of the guest of the evening, and Mr Harrington, in a happy speech, responded on behalf of his sister, and presented her with a gold key, after which she proceeded to cut the cake. Among those present were Mr and Mrs J. J. Davis. Mr and Mrs H. S. Reid, Mr and Mrs A. Harris, Mr and Mrs Grigg, Mr and Mrs Bachelor, Mr and Mrs Wilson, Mr and Mrs Mann.
