TO-DAY'S FOOTBALL
SOUTHERN-PIRATES MATCH AT CARISBROOK Southern and Pirates, two of the leading teams in the Senior Competition, will meet at Carisbrook to-day. Last Saturday both teams were, defeated for the first time this season, and the First Grade Competition is now in a very interesting position, with Southern, Pirates, and Kaikorai on equal terms. The Southern and Dunedin Fifth Grade teams will provide the curtain-raiser to the mam match. ' ..„''. At the Caledonian Ground, University A will meet Union. The curtainraiser will be between i Union and Alhambra Fifth Grade teams.. At Bishopscourt, Kaikorai will play Zingari, and the Zingari and Technical Fifth Grade teams will provide the curtain-raiser. At Tahuna Park, Alhambra will meet Taieri, and Dunedin will play University B at University Oval. , Grand stand patrons are reminded that entrance to the stand enclosure at Carisbrook is by the Burns street, entrance only. ASSOCIATION MATCHES MOSGIEL AND NORTHERN TO MEET The outstanding match of the Fletcher Cup series will be the meeting between Mosgiel and Northern this afternoon at Logan Park. This game, in addition to counting for the Fletcher Cup, will also provide the final for the local Chatham Cup competition, and in the event of a draw at the end of 90 minutes', play, extra 10 minutes each way will be played to decide the points for the Chatham Cup. To date neither team has been defeated: The remaining ?ames are Caversham v. Roslyn-Wakari. at Ellis Park; Mornington v. Old Boys, at the Oval; and Seacliff v. Technical, at Seacliff.
