OBITUARY

MR MAX HEIMANN (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON. June 9. By the sudden death last night of Mr Max Heimann, the Jewish community of Wellington, of which he was president, loses one of its most esteemed members. He gave his services unsparingly to every Jewish communal effort, and was also prominent in the wider sphere of city life. He was a member of the Masonic fraternity. He was born in Galicia 44 years ago. He was for a number of years fruit farming in Hawke's Bay, but of recent years he was a draper here. He leaves a wife and four sons. ,
