OVER SUNKEN SUBMARINE WREATHS DROPPED INTO SEA LONDON, June 7, , Seventy relatives of the men lost in the Thetis went out to the scene of the disaster on the minesweeper Hebe, accompanied by the flWerladen minesweeper Seagull, to participate in the memorial service conducted by the Naval Chaplain. The presence of the destroyers Codrington and Basilisk and the submarine Cachalot, the Last Post, the reveille, and a salute of guns were features of the service. Similar services were held at Portsmouth, Chatham, Devonport, Barrow, and, Birkenhead where a number of relatives preferred to attend. SALVAGE WORK SUSPENDED WIRE SNAPS IN SWELL LONDON, June 8. (Received June 9, at 1 a.m.) The Thetis salvage operations were suspended after the snapping of a wire in a heavy swell. Heavier wires are being .obtained.
