PLIGHT OF POLISH JEWS NIGHT SPENT ON FRONTIER WARSAW, June 8. (Received June 9, at 0.15 a.m.) Jews of Polish descent spent last night in sheds and railway carriages on the German-Polish frontier—unwanted by Germany and disowned by Poland. The latter claims that they forfeited their nationality when they failed to register as Poles during the Nazi round-up last November. The German Peasant Party and three German newspapers published a declaration of their loyalty to their country of residence. They declare that the interests of the German minority completely agree with those of Poland.
