Gifford, beloved husband of Lizzie Gifford; in his seventy-seventh year; late of Busta, Shetland. “ Safe home in port.” "Absent from the body; present with the Lord.” HISLOP.—On June 8, at Vauxhall road, Devonport, Auckland, John Hislop, beloved husband of Gertrude Hislop, and son of the late John Hislop, jeweller, Dunedin. Deeply mourned. RATTRAY.—On June 8. 1939, at his residence, “ Kilnaraora,” Dunedin, Charles William Rattray; aged 76 years.—Private interment. REEDER.—On June 6. 1939, at Dunedin.
