ADOPTED CHINESE BOY

HIGH SCHOOL PUPILS’ ACTION REMARKABLE PROGRESS OF NEW STUDENT (Per United Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 7. The Kaikohe District High School adopted a Chinese boy at the beginning of the year, providing the money required for his education. The Auckland Education Board was told at to-day’s meeting that the boy, who is seven years old had speedily adapted himself to his new environment. He had learned to speak English equal to the others in his class, and had also acquired a smattering of Maori. His progress was regarded as remarkable.
