YOUNG WOMAN’S DEATH POISON SELF-ADMINISTERED (Per United Press Association) GISBORNE, May 17. A verdict that Joyce Elsie Florence Burch, single, aged 23, died from poison self-administered was returned by the coroner (Mr E. L, Walton) to-day. Evidence was given that the deceased suffered from nervous trouble, and that during a fit of depression she had taken poison. WOMAN CYCLIST’S DEATH (Per United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, May 17. Mrs Fanny Lawrence, of Manchester street, died late to-night from injuries received in an accident outside the Public Hospital early this afternoon when the cycle she was riding collided with a car. KNOCKED DOWN BY BICYCLE When she was knocked down by a bicycle in Rattray street yesterday morning Betty Anderson, living at 99 Highgate. received a fractured rib and was admitted to the Hospital at 11.20.
