LORD NUFFIELD'S IDEAL
HIS BEST FOR MANKIND LONDON, Dec. 16. Lord Nuffield, speaking at a luncheon in London yesterday, referred to philanthropy. He s'aid: "What 1 have done others could do. If they do not they will regret it when they are passing out. I just want to pass out feeling that I have done my best. If a man . can die that way there is nothing much more he can do. I propose for the rest of my life to do all I can for mankind." Isord Nuffield presented £31,383 to the Wingfield Morris Orthopaedic Hospital at Oxford. This sum of money was required for capital expenditure.
