AJAX SUCCESSFUL AGAIN THE LINLITHGOW STAKES FRENCH GEM WINS OAKES (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) MELBOURNE. Nov. 3, (Received Nov. 3, at 11 p.m.) The weather was fine and warm and there was a good attendance at Flcmington for the third day of the Victoria Racing Club’s meeting:— Dominor had little difficulty m repeating his Cup Day win in the November Hurdle Race, He has now had six hurdle wins in succession. Aspire, who was prominent always had a comfortable win in the Byron Moore Stakes. He cost 1200 guineas as a yearling and has registered two wins and second in three starts. He looks a Derby proposition. Ajax was not troubled in the Linlithgow Stakes and registered his thirteenth successive win. His full record is V wins and three seconds in 24 starts. He has won £23,765 in stakes. He also won the Linlithgow Stakes last year. Adios finished strongly to beat the pacemaker Caragona, in the Carnival Handicap. Netherlea, wjio is improving, ran fifth. The winner is trained by the former New Zealander. George Price. „ . , There was an exciting finish id the Oaks Stakes. French Gem, who was last at the home turn, displayed unexpected stamina and won in the last few strides from Talkalot, who headed the pacemaker. Gay Dell, 50 yards from the post. Acheron ran a poor race and Lady Montague was disanpomting. The winner is trained by R. Sinclair and .owned by Mr G. W Bad man, the owner of Auries Star. An exciting finish was witnessed In the Veteran Stakes, and FI Senonta held off fast-finishing runs by 1 Aiglon and Manolive. Queen of Song had a poor run and finished sixth. Conveyor disappointed.
