MISSIONARY CONFERENCE After joining with the General Assembly at the Communion service in First Church, the Presbyterian Women’s Missionary Conference began in Burns Hall yesterday with a welcome to delegates by Mrs Dunn. P.A. president. Intimations and roll call were followed by the luncheon adjournment. The afternoon session commenced with devotional exercises, after which bouquets were presented to Sister Jean (president) Mrs Riddle (wife of the moderator), and Mrs Howes (wife of the retiring moderator) Sister societies sent messages of goodwill, and two soloists contributed items. The president. : n her address, welcomed the many delegates, and hoped that a spirit of friendship and fellowship would permeate conference She reported a year of increase in every department, and exhorted members to greater effort in prayer, study, and service. After paying a tribute to Mrs Waddell, the organising secretary. Sister Jean counselled members to follow the example of the churches of Macedonia, whose members first gave themselves to the Lord and then brought their gifts of money and service. The Girls' Auxiliary will open its conference in the Y.W.C.A. Hall this evening at 8 o’clock, while the Junior Association, the Busy Bees, will hold a rally in Burns Hall at 6.30. when all visiting missionaries will be present,
