CUVIER CLUB
The Clavier Club is giving Its third recital on October 18 in Begg’s Concert Chamber. The programme includes works of*great variety from early keyboard music by Scarlatti, arranged for two pianos by Felix Swinstead, to a gay modern rhythmic dance by Gopsseiis, also for two pianos. The major part of the programme consists of works by the great classical and romantic composers. Among them are a Busoni arrangement for pianoforte of the famous Chaconne in D minor and Sonatas by Haydn and Beethoven. Some of the modern composers, represented in groups of attractive short works, are Arnold Bax, John Ireland. Korngold. Prokofieff. and Pittfleld.
