INFANT SUFFOCATED
SLEPT IN PARENTS’ BED DANGER OF PRACTICE EMPHASISED (Per United Press Association) WHANGAREI, Nov. 18. Emphasising the danger of children sleeping in the same bed with parents, a jury of four returned a verdict of accidental death by suffocation at the inquest at Kaitaia into the death of a four-months-old Maori girl, Julia Taitimu Takahue. The parents’ evidence was that when they awakened on Saturday morning the child, which was sleeping in the same bed, was found to be dead.
