THE WAITAKI FARMERS' FREEZING COMPANY
TO THE EDITOR Sir,—ls it not customary for proxy forms to be sent out with the annual balance sheet of a company? I have received the balance sheet and voting paper for the election of three directors for the Waitaki Farmers' Freezing Company, but so far have received no proxy form for the company's annual meeting on December 11. I have, however, received from Mr J E. Austin, of Christchurch, a letter asking me to vote by crossing out the last name on the voting paper and enclosing a typed proxy form to be signed in his favour. Am I not entitled to an open proxy form from the company giving me the right to choose who shall represent me at the annua i meeting of the company?— l am, etc.. Shareholder. [Though it may not be strictly obligatory on a company to issue proxy forms with its annual report, these forms are usually issued. A shareholder of the Waitaki Farmers' Freezing Company resident in Oamaru should have no difficulty in procuring a form.—Ed.. O.D.T.]
