DUAL VOTING
WOMAN COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE “ WANTED MR PARRY TO GET IN ” (Per Ukited Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 19. Charged with the offence of personation by voting twice at the last general election, Mabel Jackson, a single woman, 84 years- old, pleading guilty in the Police Court to-day, said she knew she had been foolish, but. “ she wanted Mr Parry to get in,” She had voted only once previously, and did not know she could not vote twice at the same election. She was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Bail was allowed.
