LAWN TENNIS
PERRY DEFEATS AUSTIN LONDON, March 18. The Perry-Austin trial resulted 6—o, 7-9, 7-5. Perry tested his back injury, and said afterwards that he felt no pain. It was noticeable that he did not put weight or force into his services, and it was apparent that he was not taking risks. The trial could not be described as a match, and therefore the result did not matter.
