EXPLOSION IN DESTROYER

ONE SEAMAN KILLED (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, March 18. The Admiralty has issued the following statement on an explosion in a British destroyer in the Mediterranean: — “The Admiralty regrets to announce that while his Majesty’s ship Wcstcott was carrying out exercises an explosion occurred which resulted in the death of one able-bodied seaman. One warrant ollicer and nine ratings were injured, but arc in no immediate danger.”
