A« most of the horses engaged at Manawatu had the benefit of racing at Trentham. serious tasks were not allotted to many at Awapuni this morning. War Lap did three furlongs in 40 2-ssec, and Round Score shaded Waitohu over a mile in Imin 50sec. ■ Spiral went over a round at a fast pace, speeding up to cover the last three furlongs in 40sec. Severe and Alloa van six furlongs m Imin 21sec, the former doing the better. Custos did three furlongs easily. Entail and Greek Shepherd covered five furlongs in Imin 0 4-ssec. Martial Lady ran half a mile in 54sec and Bodyline three furlongs in;SB 3-ssee. Battle Pomp accompanied Tail Light over seven furlongs in Imin 42scc on the plough. Cold Cure took Imm 18 l-ssec for six furlongs and Tiger Bill Imin 21 sec for a similar task. Vonia Park did the beet gallop of the morning, covering three furlongs in 38sec. Seratchings are Silver Ring and Chile for all engagements.
