',;•/ >MAORI HILL CLUB The thirty-first annual meeting of the Maori Hill Association.. Football Club was held in the club's pavilion last evening, when the president (Mr J. Simpson) presided over a large attendance. In commenting on the work of the past season, the chairman stated it wa« the best year the club had ever had and members had every reason to" b& gratified on the result. The first eleven was successful in winning both the Fletcher and 'Knock-out Cups and in addition were joints holders with the Mosgiel Club of the Chinese Cup. In the juniors, the Fourth Grade A team again brought honours to the club by winning its competition. Financially th« club was in a sound position, having * credit balance of £lB 5s Bd, and th« speaker complimented the treasurer on his untiring efforts. In conclusion ha asked the members to rally round the committee and help ( to keep the club in its present strong position. The annual report and balance sheet were adopted.. Mr A. Vyness, a,member of the Management Committee of the Otago Football Association, extended congratulations to the club on its successful season and as manager of the Otago team to Christchurck made complimentary reference to the behaviour of the club's members of that team. The following office-bearers were elected:—Patron, Mr 0. Balk: president, Mr J. Simpson; deputy president, Mr A. B. Smith; vice-presidents—Messrs W. G. Cocking, J. Graham, H. L. Dolamorc, S. N. - Brown, J. Simpson, B, Bachop, M. Wills, J. R. Glover, A. A. M'Lennan, F. H. Ball, P. Romeril, W. H. Newall, A. Wyness, and S. E. Notman; secretary, Mr A. W. Madden; assistant secretary, Mr S. Gibson; treasurer, Mr H. D. Colgrave; committeeMessrs H. Newall, H. Balk, P. Hall; D. Bennie, A. Brown, R. Bachop, D. Wallace, W. Richmond, A. Pym, J. Dal' ziel, T. Trewcrn. A. Roberts; trainers—Messrs P. Hall and J. Sands, delegates to the Otago Football Association, Messrs H. Balk and H. Newall; auditor, Mr H. Balk; club captain, Mr J. Dalziel; selectors —First Grade, Mr H. Newall; Second Grade, Mr A. Pym; Third Grade, Mr A, Bennie; Fourth Grade, Mr D. Bennie. It was decided to nominate Mr W. G. Cocking for a vacancy on the Management Committee of the O.F.A, The opening day was fixed for Saturday, March 28, and several new members were elected.
