MARAMA IN PORT
FINAL TRIP OF SEASON VESSEL TO BE LAID UP The Union Steam Ship Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Marama arrived at Dunedin from Bluff yesterday morning on her final passage for the season in the South Islnnd-Mel-bourne service. In spite of the fact that the vessel encountered rough weather as she approached the Now Zealand coast, she arrived at Bluff on Sunday on her scheduled time. The Marama sailed for Dunedin lust evening for Lyttelton and Wellington, and on arrival at the latter port will be laid up until July, when she will enter the New Zealand-Sydney service. Altogether the ship has made seven trips from Melbourne to Bluff. She sailed from Melbourne on her first voyage on Thursday, November’7, and since that date has carried hundreds of Australians and travellers from further afield to the Dominion. Good fortune has smiled on the vessel and her voyages usually have been made in fine weather.
