CRICKET

TO-DAY'S MATCHES. The First Grade cricket matches which were to have been comjnenced last Saturday will now be confined *to one day's play. At Logan Park No. 3 Carisbrook will meet University, and no doubt the side winning the toss will endeavour to force the pace with the object of declaring and endeavouring to get the other side out before time. Kaikorai will meet Grange at Bishopscourt and this should provide some bright and interesting cricket, as both- teams possess some forcing batsmen. Old Boys will meet Dunedin at Logan Park No. 2. and at Logan Park No. 1 the Colts will meet Albion. Albion is in a strong position for the premiership and will no doubt make every effort to retain its advantage.
