THE WEATHER
Ideal summer weather was experienced on Saturday with sunshine and passing cloud. A light easterly breeze prevailed, and the maximum temperature was 70 degrees. Fine sunny weather continued yesterday although conditions were slightly cloudy at times. ' There was a light north-easterly breeze. The maximum temperature" was 68 degrees. The barometer remained steady at about 29.85 in. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. ' (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND. January 12. The weather has been fine durine the w-eek-end, but is overcast to-day. There was a light southerly breeze yesterday and bright sunshine. The wind was southeasterly to-day, changing to northerly, with rain threatening in the late afternoon. Conditions were warm. The temperature at midday yesterday was 74 degrees. The barometer has remained steady throughout at 29.85 in. CHRISTCHURCH, January 12.
The weather was fine and warm both on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday there was an easterly wind with bright sunshine from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday was cloudy but warm. The barometer at 4 p.m. was steady at 29.9 in.
