MANIOTOTO HOSPITAL BOARD
MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the committee of the Maniototo Hospital Board was held on Monday, and was attended by Messrs H. W. Davis (chairman), T.Dowling, and B. A. Todd. Dr Eudey also attended the meeting. ' CORRESPONDENCE, The Department of Health wrote acknowledging receipt of the. half-yearly statement of the board advising that the financial position appeared to be generally satisfactory. The Waitaki Hospital Board wrote thanking the Maniototo Hospital Board for agreeing to assist financially in the case Logan v. Waitaki Hospital Board, and pointed out that it was endeavouring to get the Government to pass the necessary statutory power enabliug boards to contribute. DOCTOR’S REPORT.
The doctor reported that there were two males and seven females in the hospital at the date of the last return, and three and nine respectively had since been admittted, making 21 treated. . Three males and eight females were discharged during the month, leaving 10 under treatment. Two babies were born in the hospital during the month. The doctor also reported that Nurse Halley had completed her maternity training and had left. Nurse Tulley had arrived to take her place. Nurse Gerrard would complete her training on November 12. FINANCE. The secretary reported that the total receipts for the month of October amounted to £641 19s 2d, and that there was a debit balance in the account at November 1 of £l7B 16s lid. Accounts and salaries amounting to £275 17s 5d were passed for payment.
