A collection of elected representatives of the people, put into power by the people, for the benefit of the people and the The present representatives are about to vacate their seats at the end of this session after four years' service. During those four years it may be
expedient to postpone some of the measures from year to year, but before members finally vacate their seats it should be their bounden duty to complete any measures at present before Parliament. Give the new representatives a clean start! Why are so many measures rushed forward at the eleventh hour, leaving insufficient time for mature consideration, and half of them being finally shelved in order that members may be allowed to canvass the country for votes? No doubt many of the present members, who are anxious to be returned, will get a shock when the results of the coming election are announced.—l am, etc., October 22. Justice.
