INVERCARGILL TRACK WORK

(Special to Daily Times) INVERCARGILL, October 22. The acceptances received for the Gore meeting are better than anticipated and, recent weather conditions having been favourable, the track should be in great order to provide a good day's sport. The track at Invercargill to-day was in good order, the course proper being used. Horns Reef line been hitting out well in his reecnt track essays and he accompanied All Humbug and Young Sentinel over seven furlongs this morning. They finished together at the end of a very vseful effort, just breaking lmin 34sec. Amelita brought home Cough and Honest Maid from the six furlong peg in lmin 20. sec, the latter pair having run about nine furlongs. All have done well but will benefit by racing. M'Nab is doing great work on the tracks and scampered over six furlongs with Waipounamu, He is brilliant, but does not as yet run on solidly at the end of his races. Steeton and Cough will be bracketed in the big event at Gore. The former wili carry C. T. Wilson. They will carry some support and should race well, especially Stecton, ' who looks well and benefited by racing at Dunedin. Trcbleack, the novice in A. M'Kenzic's stable, is a promising novice. He is galloping nicely at present, but may need more time. (heat Shot's recent work has not been of a strenuous nature, but he is moving freely. An internal complaint, which appears to be chronic, stops him from reaching top form. Red Boa is hitting out freely and so is Enwood. The pair are in the open sprint at Gore and should not be disgraced. June the Third is looking a picture 'and recorded a neat effort over seven furlongs in lmin 33 4-ssec. She is brilliant when right.
