UNIVERSITY DRAMATIC SOCIETY

PRESENTATION OF "THE ROUNDABOUT" J. B. Priestley’s comedy, “The Roundabout,” has been selected by the Otago University Dramatic Society for its next production, and rehearsals arc now well under way. The play is one well suited to a cast of student players, and it should be conceded that the society has a good deal of talent at its command. The play has had considerable success in its various presentations both in London and in the provinces, but it has not been performed before in New Zealand. It abounds in excellent situations and sparkling dialogue, and provides good opportunities for almost every member of the cast. The society has* arranged, in conjunction with the theatre management, to devote the proceeds of the first night to the assistance of the Dunedin Free Kindergarten. This night will mark the official reopening of His Majesty’s Theatre, and Sir Benjamin Fuller has promised to be present.
