HOME-MADE AEROPLANE

YOUNG MISSIONARY'S WORK A young South Australian missionary, Mr H. U. Shepherdson, has built his own aeroplane at Malinjimbi Island Methodist mission station, 350 miles north-east of Darwin. He was recently on leave in Adelaide, and completed a course at Parafield areodrome lor his "A" class pilot's license. Mr Shepherdson wishes to reduce the time taken on the journey from the mission to Darwin every two months lor stores and mails. He has worked in Adelaide as an engineer, and he sent to America for parts of an aeroplane that could be built at home.
