Mr E. S. Wilson left Dunedin yesterday morning on a holiday visit to Australia. .-,,.■, Mr A. K. Ibbotson left by the express vesterdav morning for the North Island. * Mr G. J. Walker, of Timaru, left Bluff yesterday by the Maheno on a visit to Melbourne. , ~ The Rev. A. T. M'Naughton, youth director of the Australian Prebyterian Church, left Dunedin yesterday morning for the north. M<- Maurice Ralph, touring manager for 'lUe Clem Dawe Revue Company, which will commence a season in Dunedin this week, arrived in Dunedin by the express yesterday afternoon. Among the passengers who left Bluff ycstcrdav bj the Maheno for Melbourne were Mr C. Matthews, C. Cos, J. b. M'lnnes, and W. Sheppard. They travelled by the early express from Dunedin to Invercargill. _...-/ , Dr B. T. Wynn Irwin,, Chnstcburch, at present holder of the Lady King Scholarship at the Otago Medical School, has received word of his completion ol the examination for Doctor of Medicine (M.D., N.Z.). and also that for the Diploma of Public Health. Mr C, Sew Hoy. scorer for the Grange Cricket Club's first grade team, was the recipient of a presentation on Saturday afternoon. The presentation was made by Mr W. A. Rowland, who referred to the services given to the club by Mr Sew Hoy as official scorer. Dr W. A. Priest, who has accepted an appointment at the New Plymouth Hospital, was presented with a fountain pen by Mr A. W. Sinclair on behalf of the University Club's senior grade team on Saturday afternoon. Both Mr Sinclair and Mr W. J. Strong said that Dr Priest had made noticeable progress in cricket, both at the Otago Boys' High School and the Otago University. ~ „ . . Dr J D. Cottrell (Dunedin district commissioner), Mr A. J. M'Callum (Scoutmaster), and Mr C. E. Richards (commissioner for Central Otago)- lett Dunedin yesterday morning in charge of the Otago Bov Scouts' contingent, which embarked on the Maheno at Bluff in the afternoon. The Scouts will take part in the Melbourne Centenary jamboree.
