CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS TREAT

STREET DAY APPEAL. The, public of Dunedin will have an opportunity to-morrow of buying badges for the Christinas treat for the children of the unemployed, when a street appeal will be held. Last year, in addition to the treat in the Town Hall, special cars took the children to the St. Clair beach, where they wgre catered for by a large band of enthusiastic helpers. It is proposed to run beach excursions again this year. The magnitude of this treat is always dependent on the amount of funds available, therefore a liberal response is requested. More than 2000 children between the ages of four and 14 years will be catered for at the Town Hall, and those under four years of age will be provided for through the district depots.
