COMMUNITY SINGING

Mr Arthur MacDonald's brace of British sea songs will provide a special attraction at the weekly community sing at the Octogon Hall to-morrow. Elocutionary items by Miss Audrey Watson will be another feature, and Miss Berna Thompson will sing a solo. A large assembly is anticipated and a bright programme of songs has been prepared by the leaders, Mr W. R. Sinclair and the Rev. Leslie B. Nealc, associated with the popular pianist, Mr Alfred Pettitt. The object of these weekly sings is to raise funds for the Central Mission's varied social activities, • including the providing of Christmas parcels for those who otherwise would probably have to go without Christmas cheer. Listenersin are urged to assist this excellent work by donations of goods or money. _
