On Monday evening Inst the members of the Arthur Barnett Miniature Rifle Club travelled to Outran) to do honour to one of their number, Mr L>. K. Wylhe, who was recently married. The party, numbering 20, spent a pleasant evening. Mr D. Craig, proposing the health of Mr and Mrs Wyllie, referred to Mr Wyllies success as a marksman, and hoped that the Arthur Barnett Club would have the same success next season ns in past years. Mr Wyllie thanked his fellow-club members for their kind reference to Mrs Wyllie and hinfself. and hoped the club would continue to prosper. It is said that if you have normal eyesight you should be able to sec a man's eyes at 50 yards; that at 100 yards, they look like mere dots; at 200 vards, you see the buttons on his coat; and at* 300 yards, you may just see his face; while the colour of his clothes can be distinguished at -100 yards. On a clear day things look nearer than wheu the day is cloudy.
