Much oi his early training was due to an old Scots nurse, Helen M'Rorie. She brought him up according to her good old-fashioned Scottish ideas, and he owes a great debt to her. She came to us when my eon was only a month old, and was with us ten years. When we went abroad the nurse could not travel with us owing to her rheumatism. She could have returned later, but would not do so because she said she could not bear to have another parting with the boy. She is still alive in Canada. I think that in my son’s case a good training as a boy helped to make him the man he is. He had a fine father, who guided him until the age of 19.”
