Jean Rochetaillade, 47-year-old miller, of Cheniers, after learning that he had won the prize of £02,500 in the French national lottery. Cheniers is a small town in the centre of France, not far from Limoges. M. Rochetaillade, who is married and the father of two boys, has the reputation of being an excellent miller and a very hard worker. He was already busy in bis mill at 7 o’clock this morning when the manager of a bank in the. neighbouring town of Gueret, where the ticket was bought, arrived on the scene to inform him of his good luck. The miller showed no sign of emotion and simply emphasised the fact that he,would change none of his habits and that he would not pose for photographers.
