DIGGING OUT THE PUNE RAPID PROGRESS MADE (United Press Association.) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LITTLE AMERICA, September 19. Despite bitter cold and threats of high winds, the removal of the giant Condor biplane from the ice hangar is progressing rapidly. This job, which it was thought would require 10 days, may be finished in four or five. With all hands using shovels, 125 tons of snow and ice have been removed since Saturday, the temperature ranging from 45 degrees to 60 degrees below zero. The autogiro made two test flights. It was found that at the 2000 ft altitude the temperature was about 25 degrees warmer than the 45 degrees below temperature at the camp.
