WRESTLING
A "PATHETIC” EXHIBITION. (Pee United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, August 27. In a pathetic exhibition of wrestling at the Town Hall to-night, Fred Meyer (America) defeated Tony Felice (Italy) by two falls to one. Meyer secured falls in the third and sixth rounds, and Felice took a fall in the fifth. There was a lot of showmanship by both contestants, which was not ovi-n well done, and the small attendance of spectators showed their disapproval throughout. KOLOFF DEFEATS DETTON. {Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON. August 27. One of the best wrestling matches seen in Wellington this season was provided by the 16-stone Bulgarian, Dan Koloff, and the American. Dean Detton, 14st 101 b. in the Winter Show buildings this evening. Detton took the first fall with a Boston crab in the fourth round. The equalising fall came in the sixth round with a headlock and arm press, and Koloff won the bout in the seventh with a press following a crotch hold and dump.
