COMMON GAMING HOUSE
A BOOKMAKER FINED (Peb United Press Association.) ROTORUA, June 21. As the result of a raid on a billiatd saloon in Arawa street on June 4 by the police, the proprietor, Robert Allan Donald Gray, appeared to-day before Mr S. L. Paterson, S.M., charged on two counts with carrying on business as a bookmaker and allowing his premises to be used as a common gaining house. The police produced records of betting transactions and other betting material, and after hearing the evidence the magistrate convicted Gray on both charges, inflicting a fine, of £ls in each case.
