CLAIM BY MOTORIST
SEQUEL TO COLLISION SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGES AWARDED. tPeb United Pbesm association.) AUCKLAND, May 11. A claim for damages arising out of a motor collision on May 27 of last year was heard before Mr . Justice Herdmnn and a jury in the Supreme Court to-day. The plaintiff was Harold Victor Hunt, a draper’s assistant, who brought a claim against Lawrence Collins, a salesman. The total claim was for £2413. A collision between the plaintiff’s motor cycle and the defendant’s motor car took place on the Waterfront road. The plaintiff alleged that it was due to the defendant’s negligent driving. The jury returned a verdict for the plaintiff of £750 general damages, in addition to the special damages already agreed upon. Judginent was, j-herefore, entered for the plaintiff for £llsO 18 s Gd, with costs and expenses.
