Two unusual insurance policies refcently issued are mentioned in a London newspaper. In one case the captain of a golf club insured himself against holing in one. He is a first-class player, and •when covering himself against expense-, he explained that if he did hole out from the tee he would be expected to entertain his fellow-members at a champagne eupper and the cost would be considerable. A small premium paid to an insurance company removed all fear on that account. The other strange policy insured a man against seeing a ghost. The owner of this policy lives in Cornwall and he is getting up in years. He has a fear that the sight of a ghost might frighten him to death, although he did not explain how an insurance policy •would assist matters. It would, how«ver, assist his estate.
