JUNIOR HARD COURT TITLES (Pee United Pbess Association.) AUCKLAND, May 10. The finals of the junior hard-court lawn tennis championships resulted:— Boys' Singles. —A. D. Brown (Auckland) beat C. Penfold (Canterbury) 6—l. 6—2. Girls' Singles.—Margaret Beverley (the holder of the title, Waikato) beat Ruby Wilson (Southland) 6—o, 6—3. The loser had her revenge in the interisland contest, which she won I—6, 6—5. 6—3. Boys' Doubles. —Brown and J. W. Mayson (Auckland) beat R. Pattinson (West Coast) and A. Allen (Kaipara) 6—l, 6—l. Girls' Doubles.—Jessie Burns and Ina Small (Wellington) beat Dorothy Dickey and Joan Senior (holders ot the title, Canterbury) 6—4, 6—4. Mixed Doubles.—A. Brown and Miss Cooke (Auckland) beat Matuschka and Miss Beverley (Waikato) 6—5. 3—6, 6—3.
In the interisland contest the North won by 18 matches to 3.
