_— ♦ PROTESTS AGAINST INCREASE ACTION BY CITY COUNCIL. (Special to Dailt Times.) AUCKLAND, May 10. The City Council has decided to ask its representatives on the Auckland Metropolitan Milk Council to make a progress report on the operations of the Milk Council. This decision was the outcome of criticism of the action of the, Milk Council in raising the retail price of milk. Letters were, received from school committees enclosing copies of resolutions adopted at the annual meetings of householders protesting against the action of the Milk Council in raising the pi ice of milk. It was claimed that this action had inflicted hardship upon many families and had reduced the quantity of milk consumed by children.
