THE QUOTA ON EXPORTS

to THE EUUOB Sir, —The contribution of your correspondent, Mr A. E. Robinson, provincial secretary of the New Zealand Farmers Union, Auckland, is interesting by reason of its similarity to the inaccurate and misleading information supplied by him to the United Kingdom press. Mr Robinson informed the United Kingdom press that the.high exchange manipulation was opposed in New Zealand by the Tanners Union and all important farmers’ organisations. That such a statement should have been made by the secretary of an organisation, the individual members of. which are supposed to be persons of high integrity, docs not reflect favourably on the Farmers’ Union. —I am, etc., Dunedin, May 5. A. M'Whxtam.
