THE WEATHER
The weather was dull and overcast yesterday, following light rain during the early morning. A light south-west breeza was blowing, and the maximum temperature was 58 degrees. CONDITIONS IN THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times.) ’ AUCKLAND, March 15. There was a continuation of beautifully fine, sunny weather to-day, the temperatures remaining cool. The wind -was verylight from the south. The barometerremained unusually high, registering 30.55 in at mid-day, but was falling in the even--IUS‘ WELLINGTON, March 15. The weather to-day was mild and mostly sunny, but a strong northerly wind blew throughout the day, the strongest being between .1 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. The highest gust was one of 60 miles an hour. The temperature at 4 p.m. was 60.3 degrees, the maximum being 62.5. CHRISTCHURCH, March 15. The weather was fine and mild to-day, with sunshine and clouds. The maximum temperature was 73 degrees. The wind was a moderate north-easterly. The barometer fell slightly, the reading at 5 p.m. being 30.16 in.
